Bigger Better Hair

Bigger Better Hair, an upscale hair salon nestled in the heart of Dallas, TX, has earned a loyal clientele base over the years due to the diverse, high-end services they offer. However, as the salon continues to thrive it has become evident that its branding no longer reflects the luxurious experience offered to customers. Recognizing the need for a fresh approach to remain competitive in a bustling market, Bigger Better Hair has decided to rebrand.

The Process

Despite their reputation for being the go-to salon, they still faced a significant challenge. They felt that their branding did not resonate with its high-end service offerings. The existing logo felt outdated and did not align with the modern and stylish atmosphere clients experienced during their visits. Competitors in the area were beginning to attract some of their clientele, and Bigger Better Hair needed to redefine its identity to attract a broader, more discerning customer base while maintaining the loyalty of existing clients.

The goal of this redesign would be:- Increased Foot Traffic: The fresh new look would successfully draw in a wider demographic of clients, including millennials and fashion enthusiasts who were previously unaware of the salon's offerings.- Enhanced Client Engagement: Existing customers would express enthusiasm about the updated branding, feeling a renewed sense of loyalty to the salon that aligns with their stylish image.- Strengthened Market Position: With the elevated brand identity, Bigger Better Hair would solidify its status as a premier destination for high-end hair services in Dallas, effectively distinguishing itself from competitors.Working on the Bigger Better Hair rebrand allowed me to fully explore the process of developing a strong, cohesive brand identity from the ground up. This project helped me understand how much thought and intention goes into every design element. It wasn’t just about making something that looked pretty, it was about telling a story and creating a feeling that connects with the salon’s target audience.Design is strategy. I learned how important it is to design with purpose. Every choice had to align with the salon’s vision of being modern, luxurious, and approachable.
